Rolling blunts with a tobacco leaf first began in the Caribbean, where indigenous people used tobacco leaves to roll cigars. Caribbean immigrants brought this tradition to the U.S., where it evolved into using cigar wrappers for other smoking materials. In the 1970s and 1980s, blunts became popular in urban areas, especially with the influence of hip-hop culture. OG rap artists frequently brought up blunts in their lyrics, solidifying their place in the culture. How To Roll The Perfect Blunt
To roll a blunt, you start by either splitting and emptying a cigar or using a fresh blunt wrap, ensuring it’s flat and ready to use. Grind your cannabis to a medium consistency for an even burn, and prepare about a gram for a standard-sized blunt. We recommend breaking it down by hand if you’re worried about grinding your weed too fine. Wet the blunt wrap slightly to make it pliable.
Then, load it with the ground cannabis, optionally mixing in live rosin, kief, or any other concentrate. Carefully roll the blunt by tucking the wrap around the cannabis, sealing it with moisture if needed, and drying it out slightly to ensure an even burn. Once dry, light up and enjoy a longer-lasting, flavorful smoke session, perfect for roasting straight to the face.
Backwoods Blunt Wraps
Backwoods blunt wraps are natural tobacco leaves used for rolling blunts. They’re also one of the most classic cigar brands for breaking down into a blunt. Originating from Backwoods Cigars, these wraps are known for their rustic appearance and rich, earthy flavor. Unlike many other wraps, Backwoods are made from whole tobacco leaves, making them thicker and more durable. They are popular among smokers for their slow burn and strong tobacco taste, often used to roll larger blunts. Backwoods wraps come in various flavors, adding a unique twist to the smoking experience.
At The Drop LV, we carry every flavor of Backwoods you can imagine. Currently, we have Original, New Generation, Chocolate (NEW,) Sweets, Russian Cream, Honey Berry, Dark Stout, and Dark Russian available in-store only. We recommend going with the Sweets or a classic Russian Cream if you want to jazz up the creamy sweet richness of your blunt.
Loose Leaf Blunt Wraps
LooseLeaf blunt wraps are high-quality, natural tobacco wraps designed specifically for rolling blunts. They are known for their smooth texture, even burn, and easy rollability. Unlike traditional cigar wraps, LooseLeaf wraps are sold individually or in packs, often pre-cut for convenience. They come in various flavors, offering a customizable smoking experience. These wraps are popular among smokers who don’t have the patience to break down a Backwoods.
Right now at The Drop LV, you can find Loose Leaf flavors like FTP, San Andre’s Peach Dream, Cookies & Cream (Cookies SF Collab,) Sweet Aromatic, Yellow Dream, Amber Dream, and Russian Cream available in-store only. We like rolling up with the Cookies & Cream or classic Sweet Aromatics when we get some fresh kush on deck.
High Hemp Organic Blunt Wraps
High Hemp Organic blunt wraps are made from organic hemp, offering a natural, tobacco-free alternative for rolling blunts. These wraps are known for their clean, smooth burn and are GMO-free, vegan, and free of nicotine and additives. They come in various flavors, providing a mild, earthy taste that complements your preferred smoking material. High Hemp wraps are popular among health-conscious smokers who prefer a more natural and eco-friendly option. Many hemp wrap enthusiasts prefer to roll up their blunts with hemp wraps to maintain the distinctive flavor of their chosen material.
Out of all of the organic hemp blunt wraps we carry at The Drop LV, customers seem the most partial to the High Hemp Organics for their even burn and lack of aftertaste. If you’re trying to get down on one of their various flavors, The Drop LV has them. We currently carry the Original, Flora Passion, Area 51 Green, and Pineapple Paradise flavors while supplies last.
