Desto Dubb is an entrepreneur and artist originally from Watts, Los Angeles, California who attended Crenshaw High School. Even back in middle school and high school, Dubb had an entrepreneurial streak. After running into legal trouble when he was younger, he sought more legitimate ways to make money. A video of his arrest went viral after an officer made the comment, “that’s an awful lot of cough syrup, you must be sick or something.” That line became the inspiration for the brand name and Dubb’s first major T-shirt drop. The shirt had the brand’s name plastered on the front with the now-legendary double cup on the back and went on to sell huge numbers. Even though Dubb had been selling shirts since middle school, this particular line of clothing became his breakout success.

No stranger to side hustles, Dubb took on Airbnb hosting in his early years of success to further support himself.
